Samsung unveiled the Galaxy S23 series in February, claiming it to be a generational leap in most aspects. However, some were unhappy as they had been facing some difficulties with the phones’ pre-sale.
For instance, we previously covered an issue where some customers were unable to make it to the checkout while ordering a phone from this series.
Now, some users are experiencing network connectivity-related issues on their old smartphones due to a technical glitch on the company’s side.
Some T-Mobile customers (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,10) are experiencing difficulties as they have lost network connectivity on their old or existing smartphone. The issue affects those who have pre-ordered the Galaxy S23 devices.
It is alleged that the e-SIM from their old phone has been transferred to their unshipped Samsung Galaxy S23 devices. Even more frustrating is that it will still take a few days before the product gets delivered to T-Mobile.
Due to this, some are in dilemma, as they are no longer able to connect with their peers or family. Those affected are also unable to receive text messages on their existing mobile devices.
A customer on Reddit complains that the network connectivity on their existing phone got disrupted within 20 minutes after placing the order for a Galaxy S23 Ultra from the company’s official website.
After a debacle pre-ordering the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra at its rollout last week (see thread “Samsung S23 Pre-Order Problem Through Samsung”), now a new problem–my SIM was moved from my current phone to the new one, even though it won’t arrive for 10 more days.

I also ordered the S23 Ultra on Samsung.com and my line got cut about 20 mins ago. I think Samsung scanned to activate the sim they’re throwing in and now it’s active on the new S23 Ultra that we don’t have yet.

Some T-Mobile subscribers were able to get their e-SIM profile transferred back with the help of customer care.
It is also worth mentioning that an alleged internal document indicates that T-Mobile might be aware of the issue.
