While majority Nokia 6.1, 7 plus, 8 and 8 Sirocco users are desperately inquiring (across different help forums) about when the promised face unlock feature is going to land on their units, at least a couple of users have spotted the option already.
Here’s what it looks like:
Specifically, Nokia 7 plus users have spotted the feature.
But before you get your hopes high and start shuffling your Nokia device’s settings, looking for the option in question, here’s what you need to know. The feature is currently showing up only for those who have enrolled in the Android P beta program.

Moreover, the first user clearly mentions they can see the option, but enabling the same throws an error (Error-1). See image below.
Seemingly, Nokia is testing the feature in Android P beta builds, so it’s reasonable to assume that Nokia 8 Sirocco, Nokia 7 plus, the new Nokia 6, as well as the Nokia 8 will get the ability to unlock using face included in the public release of Android P.
As Google is yet to officially announce the Android P update (even the version name isn’t confirmed yet), so you need to keep patience.
Rest assured, we are keeping an active tab on all related developments and will update as and when the feature starts rolling out.
