Manifold Garden is a physics-based ‘puzzle’ game that is quite similar to titles such as The Turing Test and Portal. In it, players have to navigate through exotic environments and manipulate the landscape to progress.
A PlayStation 5 version of the game went live today for all to enjoy. This version of the game features native 4K 60 FPS support and loads ridiculously fast, thanks to the console’s ultra speedy NVMe SSD and in-game optimizations.
The game also takes full advantage of the haptics made possible by the new PS5 DualSense wireless controller, so that’s yet another plus.
But one of the greatest positives for those that owned the PS4 version or the PS4 Deluxe Edition is the fact that they can upgrade to the PS5 version of Manifold Garden for free.
Although this part is sadly being plagued by an issue:
As clear from the above, a few users have reported that Manifold Garden shows as being unavailable on the store and users are unable to purchase it as they already own the PS4 copy.
Truly a bummer for those that had been waiting for its release ever since its announcement some time back.
Nonetheless, the game’s developer has has confirmed that they are aware of the issue where users who had previously purchased the game on PS4 are having difficulty upgrading to the PS5 version.
It seems like there’s a small issue in the backend. We’re working on a fix at the moment and should resolve it soon. Sorry for the inconvenience!

The issue is to be a “backend” one and a fix has been said to be in the works already. Hence, if all goes well, you should soon be able to upgrade to the PS5 version of Manifold Garden.
