Samsung’s security platform, Knox, is quite popular among users of the Galaxy devices. Now, the OEM has enhanced it further.

In its latest Newsroom post, Samsung has shed some light on the said enhancement which comes as Samsung Knox Vault for the Galaxy S21.

Samsung Knox Vault is being labeled as the next-level of security. This is because it uses a dedicated processor to manage the encrypted personal data.

The Knox Vault processor keeps data like passwords, biometrics, and more sensitive data secured in a separate storage isolated from the main OS.

Also, the said Knox Vault storage is impervious to attacks including laser, voltage, and temperature attacks.

While this enhancement to Samsung Knox does take security to the next-level, it is currently available only on Samsung Galaxy S21.

However, it is possible that the Knox Vault might arrive for other Galaxy devices in the future. This has also been specifically highlighted in the Newsroom post.

This is certainly good news for users of the Galaxy series devices as their personal data is about to get more secure than ever.

However, the OEM has not shed light on how long it will take to bring the Knox Vault to other Galaxy devices.

Since there is a dedicated processor for the Knox Vault, it is also unclear how it will be implemented.

Hopefully, Samsung sheds some more light on the matter soon and provide the Samsung Knox enhancements to more Galaxy series devices.
