Many around the world had highly anticipated Samsung’s One UI 5.1 update. The update brings new features and improvements to devices, but unfortunately, it doesn’t seem to be meeting expectations.

The new update seems to cause battery drain and charging issues for some users.

Initially, it was reported that the Galaxy S22 and S21 were the most affected devices. But as the update reached more users, it became clear that even the Z Fold 4 and Z Fold 3 users were also reporting (1,2,3,4,5) the same issue.

OneUI 5.1 on Fold kill battery life? I’ve heard that 5.1 kills the battery life of non-S23 phones. Anyone have feedback on the Fold yet? The update is just releasing in the US but has been out in other markets for a bit, I believe.

According to reports on Reddit, users have noticed a significant drop in battery life after updating their devices to One UI 5.1.

Some users have reported that their devices are not charging at all, while others have said that their devices are discharging rapidly.

However, it is worth noting that there are some users who are claiming otherwise.

Fold4 with OneUI 5.1. here. Nothing bad at all. More stable and Battery seems a bit better. Will see next few more days.
