Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 Flex Mode bug with Flex Controls while listening to music to be fixed next month, confirms mod

Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 3 launched earlier this month. It is a unique foldable smartphone that grabbed people’s attention in no time.

A hefty price tag is expected whenever we think of foldable smartphones. However, Samsung went aggressive with this one.

The Galaxy Z Flip 3 is the second clamshell smartphone from the South Korean tech giant. It has features like an IPX8 rating, a secondary display, and Flex Mode.

If you’re unaware of Flex Mode, well, it’s a feature limited to foldable phones. When partially folded, it will go into Flex Mode. Apps will reorient to fit the screen, letting you use the phone without holding it.

Think of it as a laptop. You can use it on a flat surface like a table. It’s a great feature for writing, checking out emails, or just when your hands are tired. However, Flex Mode is a new feature and that means bugs are expected.

A user recently posted a bug report on the Samsung Community forum where Flex Mode messes up with changing the device’s brightness. Below is what the user said about this Galaxy Z Flip 3 Flex Mode bug.

The affected Z Flip 3 owner also shared a video. It clearly shows that whenever he is trying to adjust the brightness, a second field appears (that is of volume) and as you move your brightness field, it doesn’t happen while the volume increases.

Samsung is now aware of this problem and working on it. A software update will come in September to fix this issue. The moderator also gave a temporary workaround for this bug.

And when this happens, you can use it as it should by closing and reopening the brightness or volume control window. Please note that it can be used temporarily in the event of an update.
