Samsung has been sending out new updates left and right over the past new months and it shows no signs of slowing down.
Apart from the One UI 3.0 and One UI 3.1 updates, Samsung recently started rolling out the April patch to some phones such as the Galaxy Note 10 and Note 10+.
Now it seems that the company has started rolling out the April update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ models too.
It bears the build number BUD2 and weighs 791.81 MB and is currently available for users in Spain, at least, as highlighted by a Redditor.
But this isn’t just any regular security update. While it brings the April 2021 patch to the device(s), it also carries a host of new features.
For starters, it adds support for S Pen pressure sensitivity recognition when using it as a secondary monitor through the Second Screen feature.
Those who wish to record their screens while in DeX mode will now be able to do so as well. Apart from that, the update apparently enhances the usability of external input devices and the multi-window feature.
The remaining additions are in the Camera app which now supports High-Key mono/Low-Key mono and Backdrop effects in Portrait mode.
Apart from that, the same effects have been added to the Single take function. You will also be able to start a recording with the palm of your hand.
Last but not the least, the April update for the Samsung Galaxy Tab S7 and S7+ also adds support for background effects during video calls.
This new update should begin rolling out to Tab S7 units in other regions over the next few days and weeks. And thanks to the useful new features it brings, it’s definitely worth looking forward to.
