New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….

Original story (published on February 14, 2023) follows:

Samsung One UI 5.1 is the latest build based on Android 13 OS. It brings improvements to the Camera and Gallery applications, multitasking, modes and routines, and much more.

However, some users are unhappy that the update left out some features.

Light Mode, Image Clipper, and Color Palette missing in Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 5.1 update

According to reports (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9), some Galaxy S22 owners feel that the update misses out on some of the essential features.

The S22 One UI 5.1 update does not include the Light mode (also known as Performance mode) and the image clipper feature, which has the ability to cut out objects from a photo.

Samsung also took away the color palette from volume control, which has left smartphone owners disappointed with the company’s move.

A user on Twitter even alleges that the image grab feature seems to be an exclusive one for the Samsung Galaxy S23 series.

The frustrated Galaxy S22 owners have now taken to web forums to express their views on the matter, some of which we’ve highlighted below.

Expert RAW (camera) doesn’t have the 50MP mode. In case of S23 (as I speculate), there is no separate Expert RAW, but its inbuilt. In case of the Galaxy S22, you have to have the app.

I’ve just updated to One UI 5.1 on my S22 Ultra and I’m not able to remove the image out of the foreground and paste elsewhere. Is that something exclusive to the S23 Ultra?

Understandably, some find it inconvenient to have to choose their color scheme manually in the Wallpaper and Style app. And it’s quite disappointing since many were looking forward to the inclusion of these features with this update.

We do hope that Samsung listen to the requests and adds the missing features with future updates for the Galaxy S22 series.

That said, we’ll keep tabs on the latest issues with the Samsung Galaxy S22 One UI 5.1 and update this article as we come across any new information.

We would like to appreciate your suggestions. We will transfer your suggestions to the departments in charge.
However, we ask for your understanding about the possibility of actual implementation and the date of it, since there are many variables such as circumstance and technical obstacles. Thank you
