Samsung Galaxy S21 series listed to come with Android 10 pre-installed instead of Android 11 on Flipkart & Amazon India

On January 14, Samsung took the wraps off its flagship lineup for 2021. The Samsung Galaxy S21 series consists of the S21, S21+, and the priciest of them all, the S21 Ultra.

The devices come with Samsung’s One UI 3.1 skin based on Android 11 which is one of the main highlights of the Samsung Galaxy S21 series.

There are a bunch of videos and articles showing off the new features that come with Samsung’s latest skin running on the S21 lineup.

Of course, this gives us the impression that Samsung will release the Galaxy S21 series with Android 11 pre-installed.

However, it appears that Samsung, or rather Flipkart and Amazon India have made a huge error in the specifications of the Samsung Galaxy S21, Samsung Galaxy S21+, and the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra.

As spotted by a Twitter user, both e-commerce sites have listed that the Samsung Galaxy S21 series comes with Android 10 pre-installed.

While the screenshots shared by the individual are for the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra, the Galaxy S21+ and Galaxy S21 are also listed with Android 10 as the operating system.

Adding to the confusion, Samsung India has not shared any details regarding the operating system on its official page for the Galaxy S21 series.

In a recent support article, Samsung highlighted all the new features that come with the Samsung Galaxy S21 series thanks to Android 11 and its One UI 3 skin.

Therefore, most official material from Samsung suggests that the Galaxy S21 series will come with Android 11 pre-installed rather than Android 10.

While it’s likely that the details shared by Flipkart and Amazon India might be false, Samsung may lose customers due to what appears to be a simple typo.

Of course, if Samsung goes ahead and releases the Galaxy S21 series in India with Android 10 pre-installed, it would be a massive let down for Samsung fans.

The Galaxy S21 series is set to go on sale on January 29 in the country, thus, we hope Samsung clarifies the situation before interested buyers shell out close to $1000 or more.
