Samsung recently started the Android 11-based One UI 3.0 Developer Beta Program for the Galaxy S20 series in Korea. Also, registrations for the US Galaxy S20 One UI 3.0 Developer Pre-Beta updateare open while other regions are expected to get the same soon.

It must be noted that Samsung has already announced that several devices will get three major OS updates. Moreover, the OEM has revealed in a recent announcement that the new Apps Panel feature will reach certain devices along with One UI 3.1.

While there has been no information on the One UI 3.1 update apart from that announcement, the OEM is definitely moving ahead with the One UI 3.0 update. Now, Samsung has released the One UI 3.0 (Android 11) Developer Pre-Beta update for the Galaxy S20 series in the US.

Multiple users have been taking to online platforms like Twitter and Reddit to share the details of the new custom skin. It seems that One UI 3.0 offers an overhauled UI which makes the custom skin highly efficient and user friendly.

There is the new quick settings panel along with a refined settings menu. App context menus, lock screen, settings radio buttons, and certain setting pages like Network settings are revamped as well.

Apart from this, Android Auto has now been added to the device settings itself which means that users can now easily configure the Android Auto app. The device can now be easily locked by enabling the Double tap to sleep feature.

That said, the Indian Galaxy S10 Lite units are now getting the One UI 2.5 update along with the September security patch. This is good news as Samsung appears to be updating its eligible devices with the latest stable update while simultaneously moving ahead with One UI 3.0.

IST 01:16 pm: According to a recent report, it seems that Samsung has begun the development for One UI 3.0 based on Android 11 for the Galaxy Z Fold 2, Galaxy Z Flip, Galaxy Note 20, and the Galaxy Note 20 Ultra. More details here.
