Samsung started rolling out its latest One UI 2.5 skin for the Galaxy S20 series a few days ago in Europe. Since then, the update has rolled out in a few other regions such as South Africa, India, UK, South Korea, and the U.S.
Samsung’s One UI 2.5 skin brings a few new features and improvements over the previous One UI 2.1 skin that debuted with the Galaxy S20 series. Similarily, One UI 2.5 debuted with the Galaxy Note 20 series which launched a few weeks ago.
We had expected the new skin to be released for the Galaxy S20 series and a few other eligible devices. This came true once the One UI 2.5 update began rolling out for the Galaxy S20 models. And Samsung seems to be rolling out the new skin in a different region each day.
We’re now seeing user reports (1, 2, 3, 4, 5) on Reddit claiming that Samsung’s One UI 2.5 skin in now rolling out to Galaxy S20 units in Canada. It appears that the update is rolling out on unlocked units as well as carrier-branded models of the S20 series.
The company’s new skin brings features as such the option to wirelessly use DeX, an enhanced AOD, Pro Video Mode, and more. Nevertheless, given how quickly Samsung is releasing the update in different regions, we expect to see it start rolling out elsewhere shortly.
Thus, you should keep an eye out on our dedicated tracker to know when it arrives on your device. Now that the S20 series has bagged the One UI 2.5 update, it may roll out for other eligible phones in the near future.
