Battleground multiplayer games have seen a steep rise in popularity, thanks to games like PUBG and Fortnite. Not only in consoles, but with the advancement of tech in smartphones, we can see several smartphones being developed around such games.
While coming to Android, Epic Games Fortnite took a different path for where Android users were required to grab a downloadable APK of the game for manual installation, instead of downloading the game directly from the Google Play Store.
This was not the case for the iPhone users, because of the fact that Apple operating system does not allow third-party app installation. So, Fortnite was easily downloadable for the App Store itself.
This ultimately resulted in poor gameplay for Android smartphone users. Because by taking a different path, Epic Games skipped the tests and approval of Google, that is meant to optimize the games according to smartphone’s specifications.
And one of such issues reported by the Galaxy S20 series users was the lack of high fps gameplay. Well, the Korean giant, Samsung’s this year flagship, the Galaxy S20 series was missing out on the Fortnite game’s 60fps gameplay and users were able to play the game at 30fps.
Basically, this was not the issue, only with the Galaxy S20 series. Samsung’s older devices like Galaxy Note 9, Galaxy S10, and Galaxy S9, were also lacking the 60fps gameplay of Fortnite.
However, later after fixing a Samsung driver, these devices were able to support the Fortnite 60fps gaming. And it seems like the 60fps gameplay has finally arrived for the Galaxy S20 series.
As per a Reddit post, the Galaxy S20 Ultra recently has received a new update that triggers the 60fps Fortnite gameplay. Besides, as per the author of the post, the game was playing flawlessly without any frame drop.

But, by the looks of it, it does not seem to be true for every Galaxy S20 user, because as per one post, the user has pointed out that the phone overheats and fps goes down while playing Fornite at 60fps.
Nothing seems concrete at the moment, and we do not know how widespread the heating issue is and whether users are actually able to play the Fortnite game at 60fps on their Galaxy S20 series devices or not?
Let us know your thoughts and opinion on whether you have experienced any issues with your Galaxy S20 series phone while playing the game at 60fps.
