Samsung Galaxy S20 series not receiving or missing calls is allegedly a known issue, fix coming soon

Samsung skipped the much-anticipated Galaxy S11 series and came out with the Galaxy S20 range of devices as successors to the 2019 Galaxy S10 family.

Quite a confusing jump if you ask me. But regardless of why Samsung did this, you got to love the Galaxy S20 series. The huge jump in naming is justified by the massive upgrades the devices pack.

The Galaxy S20 is the entry-level variant, but that doesn’t make it cheap. Then there is the Galaxy S20+ and the biggest of them all, the Galaxy S20 Ultra.

All three phones pack expansive display screens, the best you can think of featuring a fast 120Hz refresh rate, high-spec snappers, extremely huge battery units, and the superfast 5G connectivity (where available) to spice things up.

There is a lot of tech that Samsung has crammed into these things that you probably might never get to fully utilize. But none of that actually matters if they cannot execute the most basic functions of any mobile phone.

For quite sometime, owners of the Galaxy S20, S20+, and S20 Ultra have been experiencing an annoying issue with the pricey phones. Apparently, text messages delay going through and others have raised concerns about missing calls.

No still nothing. Here with S20 Ultra 5G 512GB that i preordered. It’s definetly not okay what samsung did. For a 1400$ phone, to not be able to receive calls while on wifi is just disgusting. I am looking for a quickest bux fix or whatever, or im just going to return the phone and get my money back somehow. Carefully consider buying samsung next time. They are going to lose a lot of people with this.

At their worst, none of these Galaxy S20 handsets receives any calls, which basically renders them quite unusable. For phones that cost in the regions of $1,000 and beyond, this is a huge low for Samsung.

On the brighter side, the company has reportedly acknowledged the issue and promised to fix it soon. Apparently, this was told to an affected Galaxy S20 owner who allegedly contacted Samsung support about the calls and text issues.

As for when exactly this bug-fixing update will begin rolling out to the Galaxy S20 series is unknown. But since the May patch is already live, it’s likely to be bundled with the June or even July 2020 security patch.
