Samsung Galaxy M31 One UI 3.1 update begins rolling out

The Samsung Galaxy M31 was one of the first budget smartphones from the South Korean giant to pick up the update to Android 11 with its One UI 3.0 skin on top.

This move was quite surprising considering that at the time, Android 11 was not even available on smartphones such as the OnePlus Nord.

Samsung has definitely earned itself some internet brownie points for its efforts to bring the latest software to its devices.

That said, it has now started rolling out the One UI Core 3.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy M31 in India too.

Some users have taken to the company’s community forums (1, 2, 3) to confirm receiving the new software update on their devices. Further, the update landed on one of our team member’s unit too.

This new Android 11-based update carries the firmware version number M315FXXU2BUC1 and brings the March 2021 security patch to the device as well.

For some reason, the changelog has no mention of the One UI 3.1 update. Check it out below:

– The security of your device has been improved.

Samsung has not yet updated its official page with details of the One UI 3.1 update for the Samsung Galaxy M31 (SM-M315F).

Now that the update has been released for the device in India, it’s likely that we’ll see it go live for users in other regions as well.
