[Live in Thailand] Samsung Galaxy Fold One UI 2.1 update hits devices in the US

The Samsung Galaxy Fold remains one of the impressive implementation of the folding smartphone, a form-factor that was set to take over the smartphone industry but that has since run into a few issues as appertains durability.

That said, the device was, and remains one of, if not the company’s most expensive smartphone to date. And rightfully so, the device is incredibly well-engineered. And as such, it only makes sense that Samsung would support it as much as any device can be supported.

And Samsung has not disappointed in that front. The Samsung Galaxy Fold has been pretty well updated throughout its life, with both regular patch updates and feature updates. More on that here.

Keeping with that, Samsung is pushing out yet another update to this device, at least in the United States. This update brings more Samsung One UI 2.1 features to the Fold.

What features you ask? Well, according to the changelog, some of these One UI 2.1 features that are now trickling down to the Galaxy Fold include Single Take, Pro mode for video, Selfie tone, My Filters, Night timelapse, AR Zone as well as the ability to record FHD/UHD videos in 60 frames per second with the front camera.

It is also worth noting that this update also comes with the updated May 2020 Android security patch update. As such, this update is rather comprehensive and is bound to breathe some new life into the Galaxy Fold.

As this is an OTA update, it might be a while before it starts hitting relevant devices so you might want to be patient as that happens. However, for the adventurous ones, SamMobile does have the updated firmware, F900U1UEU3BTDD , available for download.
