This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..

Original story (from May 12) follows:

Samsung has turned out to be the best when it comes to pushing the latest Android updates for all its eligible devices. Not only that, but the company has also been successful in changing its image of not taking care of the older phones by pushing regular and latest security updates for the older devices (Galaxy Note 8, Note 9, etc).

It has been constant in rolling out the latest security updates for its devices, even ahead of Google. As far as the Android 10 updates are concerned, thanks to its large portfolio of devices, the rollout process is far from been called complete.

Talk about the Galaxy A50 Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update, the device was able to pickup up the stable Android 10 OS update in Korea and India back in March 2020 (Build: A505FDDU4BTC4) and also got the hopefuls across the globe excited for a smoother rollout.

But, it soon came to notice that the Android 10 update that was rolled over for the Indian variants of the Galaxy A50, was full of bugs and issues and was eventually, withdrawn.

And the update has still not seen the light of the day, ever since it was pulled back for the Indian units of the Galaxy A50. Moreover, recently we have covered a report were Samsung has clearly stated that due to the lockdown imposed by the Government of India for containing the COVID-19, the updates for the devices will be delayed.

You can also read some other user reports regarding the same on the official Samsung community forum. However, all is not bad for the hopefuls, as recently a new Android 10 (One UI 2.0) Galaxy A50 Indian test firmware was spotted with build date TE (2020 May) with test firmware version BTE2/BTE1.

This hints that the company might roll out the stable Android 10 (One UI 2.0) update for the Indian variants of the Samsung Galaxy A50 as soon as the lockdown imposed in India is lifted or who knows maybe earlier than expected.

So, at the moment, the status of the Android 10 update for the Samsung Galaxy A50 seems ready to be pushed. But we would advise not to get your hopes high, as, in the end, it depends on the OEM, and without any official information, confirming any piece of news would be irrelevant.
