Original story (published on August 13, 2020) follows:

Many OEMs provide two major OS updates to their devices while some devices are only left with one OS update. The likes of OnePlus provide three major OS updates to their devices and Samsung has also joined that club now.

The Korean tech giant recently unveiled the Galaxy Note 20 series and along with that came the announcement for three OS updates. However, only the high-end Galaxy S10, Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 10 and Galaxy Note 20 series are eligible to get three OS updates.

This is still big news for Samsung consumers as their hopes are now high. As per recent reports and information shared by Tizenhelp.com, the OEM might extend the three OS update support to its other devices.

Also, the Samsung executive has stated that devices in the older Galaxy A, Galaxy S9, Note 9, and tablets series will not get this support because of hardware limitations. Moreover, the OEM will announce the OS upgrade policies in detail after some time.
