Saints Row: The Third came out way back in 2011 and its remastered version is now out for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S.
However, players are still unable to grab the free upgrade to Saints Row: The Third Remastered on the PS5.
The issue first came to light pretty recently as PS5 users started reporting about not being able to upgrade the game on the platform.
Also, the official Saints Row Twitter handle acknowledged the issue affecting the PS5 upgrade.
We are aware of an issue affecting PS5 upgrades, we are working on it with Sony and we will let you know once its fixed.

In another tweet, they even declared that the said issue has now been fixed for users of PlayStation 5.
However, it seems that the issue did not get completely resolved as several PS5 users are still facing it.
So, it is unclear whether the initial fix was done for PS5 users in specific regions or worldwide.
This is simply becasue the free upgrade problem is still affecting those with PlayStation 5 in the US and Canada.
The Saints Row Twitter handle has once again acknowledged the problem stating that the free upgrade is still not working for PS5 users in the US and Canada.
Furthermore, those facing the issue on their PS5 outside of these regions have been asked to report about it.
While the issue is still being looked into, there is no word on how long it will take to fix it.
Hopefully, the game developer fixes the issue soon so that PS5 users can play the remastered version of Saints Row: The Third.
That said, we will be back with more details as and when new information becomes available so stay tuned.
