Asus ROG Phone came out in 2018 and it currently runs the Android 9 Pie-based ROG Gaming X UI while awaiting an upgrade to Android 10.

Since the ROG Phone has only received one OS update, it is only natural of users to root for a second one.

This is simply due to the fact that Asus ROG Phone is a flagship gaming device which deserves at least another OS update to Android 10 owing to its hefty debut price.

It has been over a year since the ROG Phone bagged the update to Android 9 Pie and there is still no sign of the subsequent OS update.

Now, a ZenTalk moderator has confirmed that the OEM does not have any plans to upgrade the device in question to Android 10.

While there has not been any official announcements on the matter from Asus, it might be possible that the company might still be working on the OS update for the ROG Phone.

However, nothing is confirmed until Asus clears the air by making matters official as users of the ROG Phone have been waiting for Android 10 for quite some time now.

The ROG Phone bagged an Android security update back in November 2020 which was about three months after it received the July 2020 security patch.

Also, the OEM has not been vocal on the Android 10 update for the said device which has only added to users’ dilemma as to whether the OS update is on the cards or not.

Nevertheless, the latest info from the ZenTalk moderator appears to have put the ROG Phone in a similar situation as the ZenFone Max Pro M1 and ZenFone Max Pro M2.

Hopefully, Asus makes an official announcement soon as it has been way too long and Asus fans have been waiting for a new OS update.

That said, we will keep tracking this development and provide more details once new information becomes available.
