OPPO has enabled the VoWiFi function (WiFi calling) on the Reno 10x Zoom in India with the latest ColorOS 7 stable update.

The Reno 10x Zoom was among the first OPPO handsets to receive the stable version of Android 10. This happened in April, but there was no room for VoWiFi support in the update at the time.

OPPO support had revealed that the Reno 10x Zoom VoWiFi function was in the company’s future plans, but gave no timeline. This left everyone guessing, but this ends today.

As you can see from the screengrab above, the update not only adds a new security patch, but it also improves phone call experience and Dolby effect is now supported on multiple Bluetooth earphones.

You also get some bug fixes, but there’s nowhere the changelog touches on enabling the Reno 10x Zoom VoWiFi support. But coming from someone who has installed the update on their handset, Wi-Fi calling is now available in India.

As noted, the C.27 update is available over the air, meaning it will take some time before all units receive the download notification.
