It was reported earlier that the Redmi Note 9S, Redmi Note 9 Pro (global), and Redmi 9 would start receiving the latest iteration of MIUI from October 20.
However, this Redmi Note 9S update clearly suggests that the OEM has started the planned rollout earlier than expected.
Also, all remaining Xiaomi devices are expected to get the MIUI 12 update by October-end and now it appears that the OEM intends to stick to that plan.
While the Turkish Redmi Note 9S variant already bagged the MIUI 12 update version 12.0.1.0.QJWTRXM back in September, it appears that was only meant for select users.
Now that the Redmi Note 9S is receiving the same update in Turkey, it could be part of a wider rollout this time.
Nevertheless, we will keep tracking this for further development and will provide updates once more information becomes available.
In the meantime, you can check out our MIUI 12 update tracker to get the latest updates on the topic.
