The MIUI 12 update is still awaited for Xiaomi Redmi Note 9 Pro in Europe while the global Redmi Note 9S variant bagged the same pretty recently.

The Redmi Note 9S is known as the Redmi Note 9 Pro in India but it has nothing to do with the global or European Redmi Note 9 Pro as both devices are completely different.

While the Indian Redmi Note 9 Pro received the MIUI 12 update back in September, the wait is still on for the European variant.

Now, some new development appears to have taken place where it has been stated that the Redmi Note 9 Pro might receive the latest custom skin soon.

The information comes from the General Manager at Xiaomi Indonesia, Alvin Tse, who has clearly stated that the update should be out very soon unless something unexpected occurs.

If without last minute unexpected surprise then should be very soon

While the Xiaomi boss did not provide any specific details, it seems that the OEM is getting ready to roll out the much awaited update for the Redmi Note 9 Pro in Europe.

It must be noted that the said update was released and re-released for the Turkish Redmi Note 9 Pro variant back in October.

Also, the Russian and Indonesian Redmi Note 9 Pro variants have also received the latest custom skin while users of the European variant are still awaiting the same.

It was reported that all remaining Xiaomi devices, including the Redmi Note 9 Pro, will receive the said update by October-end.

That did not transpire but looking at how Xiaomi has been constantly rolling out MIUI 12, the few remaining devices might get it soon.

Nevertheless, nothing is certain when it comes to software updates as unexpected delays are always a possibility and the same has been outlined by Alvin Tse.
