Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G came out in December 2019 whereas its rebranded version for the global market, Poco X2, came out a couple of months later in February 2020.

Both devices offered Android 10-based MIUI 11 out-of-the-box and now run the Android 11-based MIUI 12 custom skin.

While the wait was on for the MIUI 12.5 update, it seems that the Chinese Poco X2 variant i.e., Xiaomi Redmi K30 4G, is finally getting it now.

As per recent reports, the Android 11-based MIUI 12.5 beta stable update is now out for the Redmi K30 4G in China.

The latest custom skin update brings along a bunch of improvements and several features for the device in question.

Since this update is meant for the Chinese Poco X2 variant, there are no Google services or apps on it. However, it is possible that Poco X2 might get a similar update in the coming weeks.

While there is no word on when the stable MIUI 12.5 will start rolling out for Poco X2, those with the Redmi K30 4G units can grab the latest beta stable update right away.

It must be noted that the ROM given below is not meant for the Poco X2 units sold globally and should only be flashed on the Redmi K30 4G. So, here’s the download link for the said update for manual flashing:

It is good to see that Xiaomi is constantly improving the user experience on most of its devices with such updates.

Update 1 (July 16)

11:51 am (IST): The stable MIUI 12.5 update is now rolling out to Poco X2 users in India through the Poco Testers program. A download link is unavailable at the moment.

Update 2 (July 17)

01:20 pm (IST): It seems the recently released MIUI 12.5 update version 12.5.1.0 RGHINXM for Poco X2 has been delayed due to reasons unknown but it is expected to be released soon as the same version.
