Online multiplayer games have become prevalent among gamers over the past few years, no-doubt aided by the increased accessibility to cheap, reliable internet.
There are countless titles available to gamers, one of them being Red Dead Online. This is an online multiplayer action-adventure game developed and published by Rockstar Games as the online component of Red Dead Redemption 2.
We know that such online games have many more points of failure and Red Dead online isn’t any different. Now, it is coming to light that players of this game on various platforms have a pretty dire issue.
According to reports from affected users, Red Dead Online keeps crashing, an issue that might have been accelerated following a recent update.

spent an hour trying to stop my pc from crashing while playing rdr2 and it turns out the thing that was causing it to crash was the newest version of the drivers but the old drivers make rdr2 look like shit lmao

Affected users note that following the recent update, they keep getting random ‘ffffff’ errors and blue screen crashes on their PC or console terminals.
Never had the game fail once prior to this update, but now I’m on my 4th crash of since noon. Anyone else having this? PS4 user.

This issue has been extensively brought to the attention of the game maker by affected users on the various social platforms. However, there doesn’t seem to be a viable workaround just yet.
We shall continue to keep an eye on this Red Dead Online crashing issue and update as and when we get more info so stay tuned to PiunikaWeb.
Update 1 (July 14)
While not many workarounds have been shared on the social media platforms regarding the problem discussed hin tgis article, someone on the Steam community says a driver-based rollback helped them.
So you may give this a shot and see if it resolves the issue for you.
Rolling back to driver 466.47 actually solved it for me.
I’m on GTX 1080EDIT: 466.27 seems to be even more stable.
