New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…
Original story (published on August 3, 2021) follows:
State of Decay 2 is an open-world survival horror game that takes place in a post-apocalyptic world where the only objective is to stay alive.
It follows the same path as its predecessor, placing players in the middle of a zombie-infested world.
The only way to stay alive is by scavenging for food and supplies and build a tightly knit community. Players can either enjoy the game solo or play with their friends.
Released in May of 2018, the game is regularly updated with new content that keeps the players on their toes.
With that being said, it looks like the latest update to State of Decay 2 is causing the game to crash.
While some reports suggest that the game crashes after opening inventory or interacting with something in the supply locker, others report that the crashes are random in nature.
After 4 crashs in 1 hour i am done with the game till next update….dont know what they do at UDL? do they no testing? instead of splitting the team for sod3 & 2, give us a stable version of sod2 and dont touch it never again.

I was fine for the first couple hours. Now I’ve gotten crash to home screen 4 times in the past hour. And every one was while I was in my locker. Though not every time I’m in my locker does it crash.

The game developer, Undead Labs, has quite a reputation for fixing such issues within a short span of time.
We hope the developers release a patch that will fix the crash issues that plague State of Decay 2 players before they become brain dead like the zombies in-game.
