All @pebble users! Really important that you create a Rebble account (link below) before June 30! This will back up your settings etc. Share this! https://t.co/M2mZWhO8Tt

Remember Rebble? An unofficial project started by a group of Pebble users to keep Pebble smartwatches alive after Fitbit acquired Pebble (and closed it down)?
The project got more media coverage when the Pebble’s online services officially died in June last year and Pebble co-founder asked users to go for Rebble.
So how the project is doing now?
Well, as it turns out, Rebble is growing from strength to strength. It was recently revealed that there are now over 100,000 Pebble users who successfully completed the Rebble setup. The revelation was made by former Pebble employee Katharine Berry.
Fun fact: there are now over 100,000 Rebble users who have completed setup.

Katharine, who is also spearheading the effort, shared a graph as well that shows how Rebble usage has grown in the past 6 months (basically from the time when the Pebble online services died).

Among other details Katharine shared is a statistic about the number of requests per day Rebble gets. They said the number stands at around 3 million.
Related fun fact: the Rebble Web Services see about three million requests per day.

Here’s some other information shared by them:
I don’t know how many are active; we don’t really track any metrics. I have even less idea how many Pebbles are still in use outside of that. I do know that all of those >100k successfully used their watch with Rebble at least once.

If anything, all this data indicates there is still a significant number of Pebble watches in the wild. Also, for what it’s worth, the official Pebble account on Twitter is retweeting Katharine’s tweets.
Add this to the fact that the official Pebble Twitter account recently sent out the following cryptic tweet:
Anyone else get cold sweats when you’ve got enough cell service to receive the notification, but not enough to act on it?

And you can’t help but speculate that is there something cooking in the pebblesphere?

Are you coming back? I've got all models you ever sold, tell us you will be back and I'd buy them all over again.
