Realme X2 Pro August update adds DC dimming, super power saving mode, super night standby & a truckload of other features

Released back in October 2019, the Realme X2 Pro remains one of the more capable all-round devices we have today. The device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 855+ chip and pairs that with 6-12GB RAM for an impeccable Android experience, even in 2020.

At launch, the Realme X2 Pro ran Android 9.0 out of the box and has since been updated to Android 10 with Realme UI. Since then, the device has been pretty frequently updated, most recently being in late July when the device got an update that among other things, fixed both the dark mode interface display issue and the low minimum volume on Bluetooth headsets.

Today, users of the Chinese variant of the Realme X2 Pro have something to smile about as their devices are getting an update that brings with it the August 2020 security patch. Along with this, the device is getting a bunch of new features and bug fixes.

Some of these features include the addition of DC dimming, a super power-saving mode, a super night standby mode among many others. The update changelog is equally extensive as shown below. Please note that the Changelog has been directly translated from Chinese.

-Fix the problem that taking photos in Taobao comments doesn’t focus.

-Fix a low-probability connection failure with the realme Buds Air Neo headphone window.

These changes are extensive and we should see them trickle down to more and more Realme X2 Pros in China over the next few days and weeks as Realme continues to roll out this update in batches.
