Original story (published on September 21, 2020) follows:
Android 11 is official and it has already rolled out to a number of devices, mostly Google’s own Pixel devices. Thanks to the developer community, a number of devices from Xiaomi can also have a taste of this new version of Android.
Not to be completely outshined, we’ve also seen OEMs kickstarting their own development of Android 11-based custom skins. We’ve seen advanced developments from the likes of Oppo, OnePlus and even Realme.
Earlier this month, we saw Realme come out to announce that it would release its Android 11 roadmap as soon as Google makes Android 11 official.
Well, Android 11 is now official and true to the company’s word today we’re getting a little insight as to what the company has planned with regards to Android 11, at least for the Realme X50 Pro.
At the launch event of the Narzo 20 series of devices, the company has announced that it’s version of Android 11, Realme UI 2.0, should roll out to users in the early-access program beginning September 24.
Additionally, the company says that the Open Beta builds should be available towards the end of October, all this culminating in the official unveiling of Android 11 for the Realme X50 Pro sometime in November.
These are rather impressive and ambitious timelines, especially considering many devices did not bag Android 10 until early this year, despite the official unveiling of Android 10 back in September 2019.
Also worth noting is that this is the first rollout and that subsequent eligible devices should bag their respective updates to Android 11-based Realme UI 2.0 thereafter.
We shall continue to keep an eye on this story and update as and when we get more details so you might want to keep an eye on that.
