Original story (published on January 25, 2020) follows:
Realme is currently beta testing its Realme UI 2.0 skin based on Android 11 on a number of smartphones including the Realme X2 Pro, Realme 7 Pro, and Realme Narzo 20.
Most recently, it kick-started the Early Access program for the Realme X50 and Realme X50m in China.
Now, the China-based OEM has announced the Realme UI 2.0 Early Access program for the Realme Q2 as well. Therefore interested users have a chance to experience Android 11 with the company’s latest in-house skin before others.
As per details shared on the company’s community page, the recruitment begins starting today itself.
The announcement has no mention of a user quota so it seems interested individuals may not have to rush to enroll in the Early Access program.
These are the steps you have to follow to register for the Realme UI 2.0 Early Access program on the Realme Q2 as shared by Realme:
Step 1: Please open “Settings> Software Update> Settings button in the upper right corner> Upgrade early adopters” on your phone.
Step 2: Click “Upgrade Early Access”, read the appointment instructions, update log, etc. and click “Book Now”.
Those who successfully sign up for the beta will get the update before January 29.
The follow-up Realme UI 2.0 (Android 11) Early Access build will also be pushed to Realme Q2 users within 30 working days of registration.
In case users wish to downgrade to Android 10, Realme will share the rollback package and method once the update goes live.
That said, the stable update will be released once the beta testing phase ends. Those who aren’t willing to give the Early Access program a shot will have to wait a couple of months to get the update.
At present, the Realme X50 Pro and X50 Pro Player Edition are the only two phones from Realme that have bagged the Realme UI 2.0 stable update.
