Realme 3 Pro became the first from the company to taste Android 10 back when it was still known as Android Q. This was made possible through the Google I/O 2019 event, but things didn’t turn out as expected.
Rather than push newer Android Q beta updates to build on the initial version, Realme opted out of the program and instead promised Realme 3 Pro owners a stable update to Android 10 at a later time.
The release of the stable version had to wait until January 2020, once again Realme 3 Pro becoming the first from the company to taste the in-house Realme UI skin based on Android 10.
Ever since, the device has been receiving regular updates as expected, with both February, March, and April patches arriving (relatively) on time. Unfortunately, the last update the device picked arrived over a month ago – the April 2020 security patch.
With May done and dusted yet no sign of the May security update, it’s natural that device owners are becoming frustrated and have now taken to social media to vent at Realme.
@realmemobiles was pretty consistent with updates on Realme 3 Pro, until last month. Then I realised that the phone was launched in late April, 2019 and completed its one year anniversary. It appears that they put phones older than a year on backburner.

In response, Realme India support has revealed that the company is not only working on a new Realme 3 Pro May update, but also June security patches. Apparently, a software update that combines both security patches is being prepared and will be released before July 2020.
The latest security patch update of realme 3 Pro will soon be released. Our team is working on the next update and the version will be released together for May and June and it is expected to be pushed before July.
So, there you have it! If you have been in the dark regarding the Realme 3 Pro May security update, we hope things are now clear. We will let you know when the combined update begins rolling out.
