Android 10 continues to roll out to many eligible devices, much to the delight of users with such devices. However, there remains a good number of devices that, while still capable of running Android 10, have been left out in the cold like Realme 1.
Realme 1 was launched back in 2018 running Android 8.1. The device has since been updated to Android 9 Pie and according to Realme’s update policy, that is as far as the Realme 1 goes, in terms of Android system upgrades. From here on out, it is slated to receive security patches till the device’s End-of-life sometime this year.
Luckily, thanks to the developer community, all is not lost for this device. See, one of the biggest arguments for Custom ROMs is to extend the life of a device beyond what the OEM can.
Thanks to @YNaveenK, Pixel Experience is available for download and install on the Realme 1, albeit unofficially. The developer has both the Pixel Experience and the Pixel Experience Plus editions of the Android 10-based ROM for this device.
The build is dated 06.06.2020 and comes with both the Vendor firmware and Google apps baked into the ROM. The following is the changelog for this release of Pixel Experience for the Realme 1.

This ROM will no doubt come as a welcome addition to the growing number of after-market firmware solutions for Android 10 for Realme 1 users, even after Realme finally pulls the plug on this device later this year.
Other aftermarket firmware that brings Android 10 to the Realme 1 include the unofficial build of LineageOS 17.1. It is refreshing to see that Custom ROMs are still alive and kicking, and solving issues that they were intended to fix in the first place.
