Original story (from May 29) follows:

Multiple PlayStation 4 (PS4) users are reporting experiencing issues with the YouTube app on the gaming console. Apparently, the app signs them out automatically and doesn’t let them back in. Instead, the app returns an error code.

We have come across multiple reports on various platforms that include and are not limited to Google support forums and Reddit. Affected PS4 owners say the console returns the error code NP-37602-8 when they try logging into the app.

As of this writing, no one knows what this code is all about. Neither Google/YouTube nor the PS4 guys have responded.

Going by the timing of the reports, it seems this PS4 YouTube error has only been around for hours, if not a day. More reports are still flooding Reddit and other platforms, so it looks like something widespread.

But what triggered the issue? Up to this point, it’s unknown how it all started. Not even a quick search on the official PlayStation support page which provides solutions to technical issues yields any positive match for this annoying PS4 YouTube login error code.

Instead, searching for the error code returns the message “We couldn’t find a matching error. Please check and try again.”

The annoying bit about this error is that it won’t let PS4 owners sign back into the YouTube app. From the look of things, it seems the issue is limited to PS4 gaming consoles.

As noted, no official statement has been made about the issue, perhaps because it’s just showing up. Hopefully, this coverage helps get it into the eyes of responsible persons and that a fix will be made available sooner than later.
