The Google Pixel 7 duo might not be the most popular phones, but their demand cannot be brushed aside thanks to their fine build quality and high-end features such as top-notch camera quality and smooth software.
With the constant addition and enhancement of features, it is easy to recommend either of the latest Pixel models to anyone who can get their hands on one.
To help protect the delicate (glass) bodies, Google launched its first five Pixel phones alongside fabric cases but for some reason, the cases were discontinued later on.
The official Google Pixel fabric cases boasted a unique design, a sturdy build quality, a fair price range, and were pretty good overall.
The company made the product eco-friendly by using about 70% recycled material. The fabric used for the protector cases was also made from recycled plastic water bottles.
Pixel owners want Google to bring back fabric cases
Some Google Pixel owners (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8) have taken to Reddit and Twitter to put in a demand for the case to be re-launched.
It looks like users just can’t forget about them easily and they still praise the old cases for their handiness and protective features.
The slim and raised-edge design helped protect and keep the phone’s delicate screen and camera safe. Also, the availability of stylish colors and machine-washable fabric made the case a ‘value for money’.
Some felt disheartened when Google discontinued its fabric protector cases when the Pixel 6 and Pixel 6 Pro smartphones were released.
People have been asking for the case for quite some time. They are ready to get rid of the poor-quality third-party cases they currently have on their Pixel 6 and Pixel 7 phones.
@madebygoogle are you planning to make an official fabric case for the pixel 7 lineup. It really did lighten up the pixel phone a lot more

I was a bit disappointed when they got rid of the fabric cases on the Pixel 6 and Pixel 7. Hopefully they do bring back the fabric cases but I doubt it.

Some found Google’s fabric cases to be beautiful and slippery at the same time.
They were the most beautiful cases. No doubt about that.
But for my hand it was very slippery so I couldn’t use it. I always go back to Spigen thin fit or a thin case with same grippy finish

Even though some would argue that third-party cases are already available, it must be noted that they are reportedly built with cheap quality material, would discolor easily, and are mostly highly overpriced.
These are not even comparable to Google’s fabric cases.
The question, though, is will Google reintroduce fabric cases for future Pixel phones? It remains to be seen.
Nonetheless, it’ll be interesting to know your opinion on whether Google should re-launch fabric cases for Pixel phones or not.
