New updates are being added at the bottom of this story…….
Original story (published on August 02, 2021) follows:
Apple Music has millions of subscribers across the globe as the service offers a vast variety of content.
The audio streaming service offers clean as well as explicit versions of songs, albeit with some restrictions based on several parameters.
While Apple Music has tags for explicit (E) and clean (C) song versions along with an option to disable explicit content, users have mixed feelings about these versions.
Many Apple Music users want an easy way to disable/enable explicit and clean songs. As per multiple reports, the explicit and clean tags along with the option to disable explicit content are not performing as expected.
Users have been noticing that there are explicit tags even for the clean versions of songs. On the other hand, many are facing problems where Apple Music crashes when an explicit song is played.
Such issues have been troubling users for quite some time now, while Apple appears to be evading these problems.
While there can be a bunch of reasons behind the inconsistencies in tags, no clear explanation is available for these problems.
Also, there are numerous reasons why Apple Music users have been asking for an on/off toggle for clean and explicit songs. Among them, ease of access, parental control, NSFW restrictions, and many more.
Moreover, a toggle to switch between clean and explicit versions of songs in Apple Music can come in quite handy if implemented properly.
That is to say if such a toggle is to exist on the home screen, Apple Music users can easily operate as per their convenience.
While implementing such features can be pretty cumbersome when it comes to streaming services like Apple Music, it is what many users have been asking for.
So, do you also think there should be a toggle to disable or enable explicit and clean song versions in Apple Music?
Feel free to cast your vote on the poll given above or drop a comment below sharing your opinion on the same. That said, we will be back with the poll results next week.
Update (September 02)
