Summers have finally arrived in Pokemon Go, as Spring event has gone live in the game. The event started on April 9, 2020, at 8 am & will stay live until April 16, 2020, at 10 pm. It has also brought some changes to the Egg pool & spawns.
The spawn rates of the following Pokemon have increased in the wild : Exeggcute, Chansey, Mareep, Marill, and Torchic. If you are lucky, you might encounter Shiny Exeggcute. Buneary wearing flower crowns and Pikachu wearing flower hats are also appearing in the wild under this event.
If you’re lucky, you might encounter Shiny ones. Egg pool has also got updated, as the 2 KM eggs will hatch the following Pokemon more often : Pichu wearing a flower crown, Togepi wearing a flower crown, Happiny, Munchlax, Tyrogue, Chingling, and Riolu.
All Eggs received from Gifts during the event will be 2 km Eggs. A Togepi-themed bag and hoodie are also available in the in-game shop! Pokemon Go Spring Event 2020 has also brought a few bonuses to the game : 2× Hatch Candy & Lucky Eggs will last for one hour.
Also, 1/2 Hatch Distance bonus is currently live & will stay active until further notice, so make sure to place Eggs in incubators. There are also event-exclusive Field Research tasks that reward encounters with Alolan Exeggutor, Azumarill, and—if you’re extremely lucky—Audino!. Mentioned below are the field research tasks for the event.
- Hatch an Egg – Eevee with flower crown
- Hatch two Eggs – Azumarill
- Hatch three Eggs – Alolan Exeggutor
- Hatch four Eggs – Audino
Apart from this, Pokecoin bundles items have been updated. Right now, a 1 PokéCoin bundle contains the following : Ultra Balls × 20 & Pinap Berries × 15. Players can access the above bundle until Monday, April 13, 2020, at 1 pm PDT (GMT −7).
