Niantic recently announced that Pokemon GO will discontinue support for 32-bit Android devices. This step has been taken to focus resources on new technologies & to streamline the development process. Many Pokemon Go players with 32-bit smartphones are unhappy with this stride.
Cut to now, a new event has been announced for Pokemon Go. As the days are getting longer in the Northern Hemisphere & reverse for the Southern Hemisphere, Solstice theme event has arrived to the game. Shiny Clefairy has also arrived in the wild along with this event.
Also, Lunatone & Solrock will appear in different hemispheres at distinct timings under this event. It has been scheduled to take place from Friday, June 19, 2020, at 8 am & will stay live in the game until Wednesday, June 24, 2020, at 10 pm local time.
Pokemon associated with the Sun & Moon will appear more frequently in the wild. Clefairy, Sunkern, and more Pokemon which are related to Sun & Moon will be seen commonly in 5KM Eggs, Raids & in the Wild. Event exclusive field research tasks will also feature similar Pokemon.
Previously, Shiny Clefairy was only obtainable through the evolution of Shiny Cleffa which hatches from eggs. Under this event, lucky players can encounter Shiny Clefairy in the wild. During the hours of the event, Lunatone and Solrock will both be appearing in three-star raids and hatching from 5 km Eggs, regardless of your location. However, there is a schedule for the spawning of Solrock & Lunatone in different regions.
1) Appearance in Wild – Lunatone in Eastern Hemisphere & Solrock in Western Hemisphere
Timings – June 19 (8 am) to June 20 (11:59 pm) –
