Team Go Rocket Leaders, along with Giovanni, have finally arrived in the game. To encounter Team Go Rocket leaders, players are required to defeat Team Go Rocket Grunts & collect mysterious components.
The names of Team Go Rocket leaders – Cliff, Arlo & Sierra were revealed earlier by Niantic. By defeating Team Go Rocket leaders players can also earn Sinnoh stone or Unova stone as reward.
In order to encounter Team Go Rocket leaders, players are first required to collect mysterious components. It can be collected by defeating Team Go Rocket Grunts. The collection of six mysterious components will create a Rocket Detector or Radar, which can be used to find Team Go Rocket Leader.
Activation of Detector will take players to a new map, where players will encounter Team Go Rocket leader. If Team Go Rocket leader will be defeated, Rocket Detector will be consumed. In terms of battle, Team Go Rocket leaders combat are similar to Grunt Battles but Rocket leaders uses Shields.
Each Team Go Rocket Leader has a different set of Pokemon, so players are required to make different strategies, if they are encountering different leaders. Mentioned below are the Pokemon that will be used by Arlo and its best counters.
