Pokemon Day 2020 event has gone live for Pokemon Go. The event features Clone Pokemon in four star raids. Each year, Pokemon Day takes place on February 27 to mark the celebration & launch of the first Pokemon video game which launched in 1996.
The event has already started and will stay live until March 3. Players will get Two Special Trades per day as a bonus. Under the Pokemon Day 2020 event, Pikachu & Eevee wearing party hats are appearing in the wild. Kanto region starters Pokemon including Bulbasaur, Charmander, and Squirtle are hatching from 7 km eggs & they also sport a festive look. However, players won’t be able to evolve these Pokemon.
Mewtwo fans can rejoice as Armored Mewtwo has returned to five-star raids. Armored Mewtwo has returned to mark the celebration and the release of Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution movie, which is coming to Netflix, this February.
Under the Pokemon Day event, Clone Pokemon are also debuting for the first time in the game. The following list of Clone Pokemon are appearing in four-star raids – Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise. In addition to this, Clone Pokemon might also appear in GO Snapshots.
There is also an increase in the spawn rate of a few Pokemon to mark the release of the Mewtwo Strikes Back Evolution movie. The list of Pokemon with an increased spawn rate are mentioned below.

Clone Pokemon which are appearing in four-star raids will learn the following exclusive moves –
- Clone Venusaur will learn Frenzy Plant.
- Clone Charizard will learn Blast Burn.
- Clone Blastoise will learn Hydro Cannon.
