Original story (from August 14) follows:

The MIUI 12 Global Beta Stable update for Pocophone F1, also known as Poco F1 in India, was released recently. While it took some time for the latest custom UI to reach the Poco F1, at least Mi Pilot program members can finally enjoy it now.

MIUI 12 brings along loads of new features and UI improvements to Pocophone F1. However, there is one feature that is not supported on the device and users are certainly not happy about it.

The Super Wallpapers feature which brings transitioning space backgrounds to the UX screen is not available for the Poco F1. Concerned users have already taken this to the Mi community and the moderator has responded by stating that the feature only supports devices with AMOLED display.

Here’s the comment made by Mi community moderator:

It was already given in the official announcement for MIUI 12 that it supports only devices with AMOLED. That being said, there are already ports for it which you can use in any Xiaomi device – check XDA.

The moderator has also asked users to go for the ported versions of Super Wallpapers. This means that the Poco F1 simply misses the feature because of its LCD display. However, it seems that users will have to make do with the Super Wallpapers ports for the time being.

The OEM has also not mentioned whether the feature will ever arrive for MIUI 12 running devices that are currently unsupported. Meanwhile, if you are into custom ROMs, you can check out the MIUI 12-based Xiaomi.eu ROM for the Poco F1 as it also brought Super Wallpapers to the Redmi K20.
