The Poco X3 GT, Poco F3 GT, and Poco M3 Pro 5G are more alike than their distinct price tags can lead one to believe. For starters, they all come with Mediatek processors from the Dimensity series.
The Poco M3 Pro 5G is the cheapest among the bunch and thus comes with the extremely economical Dimensity 700 5G processor.
On the other hand, the Poco X3 GT and F3 GT are what some may call “flagship-killer” devices and thus come with flagship-grade processors as well – the Mediatek Dimensity 1100 and 1200 respectively.
Other than this, all of them come with 5000mAh batteries to provide enough juice to their powerful processors without compromising on the battery life.
From the trio, the Poco X3 GT and Poco F3 GT launched with MIUI 12.5 based on Android 11 while the Poco M3 Pro 5G booted into Android 11-based MIUI 12 out of the box.
Android 11 layered with MIUI 12.5 atop is still currently the latest software Xiaomi/Poco has to offer, so the GT models are definitely in the safe zone. However, the poor Poco M3 Pro 5G continues to be stuck on MIUI 12.
But that is set to change soon. The Poco X3 GT, Poco F3 GT, and Poco M3 Pro 5G have now been injected into the Poco MIUI Global stable ROM testers program.
While this doesn’t guarantee the latest experimental versions of MIUI straight away, testers can be rest assured that they will be at least getting stable MIUI builds before anyone else.
Moreover, when the MIUI 12.5 Enhanced Edition update finally begins rolling out for global devices, Poco X3 GT, Poco F3 GT, and Poco M3 Pro 5G owners that are a part of the testers program will likely be getting it first.
Do keep in mind that you may run into minor bugs and issues here and there since builds released through it may be rough around the edges.
Lastly, the prerequisites you have to meet before applying have been given below:
Once that’s done, you can apply to become a Poco Stable Tester through this link.
