One thing is evident that Xiaomi has clear plans for the push of its uber-popular, MIUI 12 custom UI. In fact, the company has left no stones unturned when it comes to providing information related to MIUI 12 update plans.
As soon as the MIUI 12 UI was launched on April 27, Xiaomi shared an update roadmap for its Chinese devices, and later for its global counterparts which gave us an idea when the Xiaomi phones will grab the MIUI 12 update.
Yesterday, we have reported that the MIUI 12 global stable beta recruitment was open for 5 devices and the list includes Poco F1, Redmi Note 8 Pro, Redmi Note 7 Pro, Redmi Note 7, and Redmi Note 7S.
However, the picture has become more clear because, as per another official announcement, it turns out that the Poco F1 users in India have been left out from the list and this MIUI 12 global stable beta recruitment is live for select regions, which does not include the Indian (IN) variants.
This means that only the Global/international version (MI), European (EU), Russian (RU), and Indonesian (ID) variants are eligible for MIUI 12 beta recruitment for the below-listed phones:
- Redmi Note 7
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Pocophone F1
Whereas, the Indian (IN) users, along with the Global/international (MI), and European (EU) users can only enroll in the MIUI 12 beta recruitments only for:
- Redmi Note 8 Pro
- Redmi Note 7 Pro
- Redmi Note 7 / 7S
Moroever, as per the announcement post for India, the form which is meant for the Indian users, does not include the Poco F1 (Pocophone F1) in the list of devices.
And as soon as you enter Poco F1 as your device, the form ends then and there. Here is how the form looks like:
On the other hand, the MIUI 12 global beta stable recruitment form for the global users, includes the Poco F1 in the list of devices (as shown in the image below):
So, all in all, it means that the MIUI 12 beta stable recruitment is still not available for the Indian users of the Poco F1 (Pocophone F1) as of now. Similarly, the beta recruitment for Redmi Note 7 Pro and Note 7S is not yet live for the Russian (RU) and Indonesian (ID) users. Here’s hoping the channels open up for them soon.
Update 1 (June 13)
Considering Poco F1 India uses Global (MI) ROM, so that’s what users must select while applying for MIUI 12. Thanks to our readers for pointing that out.
Update 2 (July 15)
The Pocophone F1 is expected to pick up the update to MIUI 12 in August. Head here for further coverage.
