With the rollout of MIUI 12 in its final phase, Xiaomi is aiming on the dot completion of the 6-month long MIUI 12 distribution drive.
While Xiaomi is busy wrapping up MIUI 12 and devs already onto the next one i.e., MIUI 12.5, Xiaomi and Poco users have every reason to be excited.
Poco, since its launch, has preferred to stick to MIUI over any other skin for the reliability and stability it offers.
Even after going autonomous, Poco seems to cling to its parent company’s in-house skin, at least for the time being.
Poco F1/Pocophone F1 has already received 2 major Android OS updates as promised. But the device’s popularity has helped it gain even more benefits when it comes to software development.
Good things don’t seem to stop coming Poco F1’s way. A Xiaomi forum moderator while replying to a user query has stated that Poco F1 may get MIUI 12.5 update. Here’s what he says:
We don’t have any dates for MIUI 12.5 yet. But hopefully it should be coming to POCO F1 too when it gets released.
As the moderator remains hopeful, users have got a reason to believe that there’s more to it than just MIUI 12.
Even though the routine update frequency has been cut down significantly due to the age of the Poco F1, its users can still expect MIUI 12.5 in the near future.
Coming from a community moderator who has been accurate in the past adds weight to these speculations but this still does not serve as an official confirmation and should only be taken with a pinch of salt.
Poco F1 is hopeful to get the Android 11 update officially but chances still remain bleak. However, the Poco F1 community having tremendous support from unofficial channels has blessed it with Android 11 custom ROMs already.
In the meantime, you can track the developments of MIUI 12.5 here.
We shall continue to track emerging news like these that indeed offers more excitement to the humongous Poco F1 user base.
