Xiaomi Poco F1 (aka Pocophone F1) is undoubtedly one popular Android device for which users are always looking up for more enhancements. This 2018 high-end phone received its second major OS update, the Android 10, at the beginning of this year, and then started the lookout/queries for if or not it will get the latest MIUI 12.

During the global launch of MIUI 12, the OEM cleared the air on the matter confirming the Poco F1 will be upgraded in the second phase (sometime during July-end). Infact, the device may get to beta test the MIUI 12 before the stable release.

While there’s a lot on the plate already, the upcoming MIUI 13 has also been in talks.

Users, of course, want all the latest features, as long as the OEM is willing to serve the device. And POCO doesn’t appear to be stopping anytime soon. Many of the Xiaomi phones lack Camera2 API support out-of-the-box. But things are now changing at least for the Pocophone F1.

On heavy user demand, Poco India has now officially confirmed the Camera2 API support for Poco F1 devices in the region. This means enhanced camera functionalities through advanced controls (as soon as interested developers do their job). The information came in the form of a tweet saying:

Your wish is our command! You desired to have camera2 API enabled on the #POCOF1 & we made it happen for India. That’s what makes #POCOForIndia.

So there you go. Camera2 API demands on Poco F1 have finally been addressed. Enjoy the support!
