Paramount Plus is CBS’s own streaming service. It features some of the greatest in-house on-demand and live content from some of the best producers for its introductory pricing of 4.99 USD.
However, PS5 owners are angry and upset with the developers.
Paramount Plus app on PS5
Paramount Plus users with PS5 are disappointed by the fact that their device hasn’t received the compatible app even 2 years after its release (1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9).
Reports of people asking about the PS5 app started back in 2021 when the console had just been released.
Even now, not a single day goes by without users protesting about the app’s availability, and they have stood strong in their demand that it be made available on PS5.
In a world where competitors like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video have PS5 apps, it’s mind-boggling that Paramount+ don’t have it yet.
@paramountplus why is there still no app for PS5? Yet the PS4 has one? You launched after it came out. It is now november 2022 and you haven’t even said if you’re working on it. I’m just curious… what’s the hold up? Because this should’ve been fixed by now.

What’s weirder is that the Paramount Plus website does support PS5 activation but doesn’t have the compatible app out yet.
When asked for the timeframe for releasing the PS5 app, support allegedly keeps saying that devs are still working on improving the app on many devices.
I’ve been having this issue since when the app first launched and I’m surprised they haven’t fixed it, I keep asking them when the app will come out on PS5 but they keep saying the same thing over and over which is there working on improving the app on many devices

But it might be a blessing in disguise for PS5 users, as the Paramount+ app for PS4 is apparently clunky.
Potential workarounds
In the meantime, the following workarounds have helped multiple users watch Paramount Plus on PS5. The first one involves watching the content through Amazon Prime Video add-on:
I took the plunge.I canceled P+, went to Amazon, immediately signed up for P+ through Amazon Video, and can watch P+ content through Amazon (on my console).

Secondly, you can watch it through the Apple TV app:
So apparently Paramount+ is on PS5 but with a twist. It’s through the Apple TV app on PS5. And you can’t even log into your Paramount+ account. It gives you the option to try it out for free. It appears to be linked to your Apple account.

Lastly, use the screen mirroring feature through 3rd-party apps like PS Remote Play or a Chromecast.
