This story is being continuously updated…. New updates are being added at the bottom…..
Original story (published on March 14) follows:
Even though the Android 11 Developer Preview is out, many devices are yet to get their hands on the Android 10 builds. Among them are some of the smartphones from Oppo.
The company earlier released a roadmap for the Android 10-based ColorOS 7. However, the schedule was further revamped recently and new dates were released for the early adoption of Android 10 on many Oppo devices.
As per the new schedule, Oppo Reno2 Z should be getting their share of Color OS 7 Android 10 update on March 16. It’ll be followed by the Oppo Reno2 F joining the club on March 27, alongside the Oppo Reno RX17 Pro. The beta test for other devices like oppo K3, F9, F9 Pro is scheduled for April.
However, it now seems that the Oppo Reno2 Z might not be receiving the trial version of the Android 10 update on the said date. On being asked by a user, here is what the Oppo Customer Care said recently:
Hi Gowtham, OPPO Reno2 Z is expected to receive the ColorOS 7 trial version update by the end of current month.
We agree that support may not always have to correct/complete information, but up until now, they’ve been conveying the information that was in line with the actual roadmap. then why this change all of a sudden? It could be the update for Reno2 Z may be delayed by a week or more.
