Oppo Reno2 ColorOS 11 (Android 11) beta update begins rolling out

Oppo has been rolling out the Android 11 update for eligible smartphones from its lineup left and right over the past few months in the form of beta updates and stable ones too.

We’ve been keeping tabs on all developments surrounding ColorOS 11 — the company’s new skin based on Android 11 — in our dedicated tracker that you can check out here.

In its recent ColorOS 11 roadmap for the month of March, the company revealed that the Android 11-based ColorOS 11 Open Beta program will begin for the Oppo Reno2 on March 10, along with a few other models.

And well, it appears that the company is kick-starting the beta program a day earlier than expected.

In a fresh announcement on its community site, Oppo has mentioned that the ColorOS 11 beta version based on Android 11 is available to Reno2 users in India and Malaysia.

Applications for the beta program are already live, however, you must have the C.45 software version installed on your device to register.

Here are the steps to apply for the beta once you’ve installed the latest update:

Click ‘Settings’>> ‘Software Update’>> Click the settings icon on the screen>> Apply for Beta Version>>Update Beta Version. And then follow the guide to apply. （If the application quota is full, please wait for the next round

FYI, this beta program has limited slots available. Therefore, the quicker you register for the beta, the better your chances of getting your hands on the ColorOS 11 update for the Oppo Reno2.

If the application quota is full, you will have to wait until the company kick-starts another recruitment round for beta testers.

Having said that, now that Oppo has announced the beta program for the Oppo Reno2, it’s likely that it will begin recruiting beta testers for the ColorOS 11 update on the Oppo Reno2 Z as well.
