OPPO Reno 10x Zoom ColorOS 7 June update brings camera video recording with wide-angle & telephoto lenses

In 2019, we saw numerous trends and attempts from various companies to go completely notchless. We saw pop-up cameras, we saw sliding devices and one of the more interesting implementations from OPPO, a motorized shark-fin shaped contraption to house the cameras.

The OPPO Reno 10x Zoom was an interesting device back then as it is today. The device has been pretty well-supported since its launch. Back in April, we saw the Reno 10x Zoom, along with a handful of other Reno devices get updated to ColorOS 7, based on Android 10.

More recently, the Reno 10x Zoom got updated to the May 2020 security patch level. The update also brought with it support for VoWiFi (WiFi Calling) and a wider Dolby support. More on that here.

Today, OPPO is rolling out yet another update to the Reno 10x Zoom, this time the more recent June 2020 security patch level. This update also packs a little more than a little bump in the device’s security patch level, this time bringing support for camera video recording with the wide-angle and telephoto lenses.

For now, users of the Reno 10x Zoom should look forward to this June update on their devices, and the added ability to shoot video using the other lenses present on their device.
