Oppo has now turned serious regarding the Android 10 updates for its devices and has put the pedal to the metal. Just today, we have reported a story where Oppo has shared a new April update plan, that reveals the dates on which some particular devices will get the stable ColorOS 7 (Android 10) update.

But, if we take a closer look at the official post, there are some important details regarding the delay in ColorOS 7 (Android 10) updates for the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro devices.

As per the statement by one of the Oppo admins, the current COVID-19 scenario is the reason behind the delay in releasing the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) trial version updates for the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro.

Here is the official statement:

Due to public health concerns regarding the COVID-19 outbreak, our R&D is affected by the current quarantine policy, resulting in the delayed delivery of system updates. The release of ColorOS 7 trial version for F9 and F9 pro may be postponed.

But if we go by the re-released roadmap by Oppo, both the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro were slated to receive the ColorOS 7 (Android 10) beta update in the current month.

Moreover, as per the statement by the admin, it is not clear as to when the ColorOS 7 trial version updates will be pushed by the Chinese OEM for the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro.

It will be interesting to see if the company pulls off the said ColorOS 7 beta/trial version update for the Oppo F9 and F9 Pro in the current month as we still have plenty of days left in this month.

But considering the current scenario in the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, nothing can be said for sure. In the meantime, we will keep our eyes on the lookout and will update you once something concrete comes across our table.
