OnePlus Nord first update (OxygenOS 10.5.1 AC01DA) with camera improvements rolling out

The OnePlus Nord was one of the most hyped mid-range smartphones in a long while. It was officially released a day ago with an augmented reality presentation. Albeit with a few hiccups along the way.

OnePlus began teasing the Nord a few weeks ago and got everyone in the tech-space sharing their thoughts about the device. As a result, the company even managed to get interested buyers to pre-book the device without them knowing the price or the entire set of features.

Nonetheless, now that the OnePlus Nord has been released, users still have to wait a few days to get their hands on it. However, it seems the company has already begun rolling out an OTA update for the OnePlus Nord.

This new update is being pushed for the device in India. It comes as version OxygenOS 10.5.1 AC01DA and has the June security patch. Surprisingly, it also carries a few camera improvements. The update size is 103MB and those who’ve received the review units can install it.

The OnePlus Nord comes with a six-camera setup, with two sensors on the front and four at the back. Moreover, it packs the same 48MP primary sensor found on the pricier OnePlus 8 along with the 2MP macro-camera.

At the moment, the device is running on pre-release software. Thus, OnePlus has put an embargo on reviewers/publications from sharing camera samples from the Nord. Thus, the new software version should help improve the camera quality before camera samples can be shared.

Further, this new update suggests that the company is determined to offer the best user experience to users once the device goes up for sale. Of course, the OnePlus Nord is also expected to receive the Android 11 update.
