OnePlus, as a smartphone brand, has come a long way since its very first device came out way back in 2013.

Now, the OEM is known for its flagship devices along with the newer mid-range OnePlus Nord series and OxygenOS.

But it seems that OnePlus might be looking forward to take leap into the crypto realm following into Samsung‘s footsteps.

While this might still be based on our speculation, the OEM is seeking user feedback on stuff related to the blockchain technology.

OnePlus has started a survey for its blockchain research which sheds some light on what the OEM might be planning for the future.

After fetching some generic demographic details, the said survey delves into details related to cryptocurrency. Users are to provide details like crypto investment and selling duration, platforms and devices used, and much more.

In the next section, the OEM seeks user feedback related to crypto wallets, including hardware crypto wallets, and their security (seed phrase).

The last section focuses on Non-fungible Tokens (NFTs), the NFT platforms used by users, and whether they intend to create their own NTFs in future or not.

The survey does indicate that OnePlus might develop or is already working on its own crypto wallet and other related apps.

While this might sound a little too farfetched, it is possible that the OEM might introduce an SDK similar to Samsung Blockchain Keystore.

However, nothing is certain until OnePlus makes an official announcement on its blockchain research.

That said, we will keep tracking this and report back once we have more details to share so stay tuned.
